Woman hurt on swing ride at Eden Project

A woman has suffered from neck injuries after a rope got caught around her on a ride at the Eden Project. She claimed that a member of staff had forgotten to secure the rope.

Claire Hatch was on the 50mph Gravity Swing at the tourist attraction in Cornwall when the accident occurred. She posted pictures of Facebook showing a number of lacerations to her neck and arm.

Writing alongside the images, she said: “I would really like to point out that the safety checks and on-site medical facilities need to be better.”

Hangloose Adventures, which operates the swing on the Eden site, apologised to Ms Hatch.
