Pet hotel hates

SIR – I have travelled around Britain on holiday staying in small hotels and B&Bs, most of them very pleasant.

However, most seem to have the same faults: squeaky bathroom doors, breakfast butter served straight from the fridge, and shower gel that is indistinguishable from shampoo without a magnifying glass.

Perhaps readers can add their own pet hates so that we can compile a Top 10 for the hotel trade to consider. Jack Hay Tunbridge Wells, Kent
