Premier Foods chairman leaving

The chairman of Premier Foods is to step down in 2017 after five years in charge of the board at the maker of Mr Kipling cakes. A search for a successor to David Beever is now under way. Premier angered some shareholders earlier this year by spurning a takeover bid from the US flavouring manufacturer McCormick in favour of a partnership deal with Japan’s Nissin Foods.
