Barclays trader’s sacking upheld

Chris Ashton, a trader at Barclays who was fired during the foreign exchange scandal, has lost a case for unfair dismissal, Bloomberg News reported. A tribunal found that the lender had taken “appropriate actions in light of ” Mr Ashton’s “gross misconduct”. Mr Ashton reportedly said he was “disappointed” with the decision.
