Abellio’s £900m for new trains

Transport operator Abellio has secured £900m to snap up new trains after clinching the East Anglia franchise last month – the largest train financing deal since privatisation. Abellio’s deal with train supply and financing company Angel Trains will allow the new franchise holder to boost East Anglia’s rail capacity by 665 new trains.
