THE J OY O F READING
Former primary school teacher Sheila Lock, who moved into Durrants Village with her husband Mike in July 2015 – has always had a love of books, so when she was approached about organising the village library, she jumped at the opportunity. “It was my job to get it off the ground, and from very humble beginnings it is now a wonderful space for us all to enjoy,” says Ms Lock. “We have a whole range of books. The casual nature of it encourages people to read, which is what I believe is most important. It is a very popular part of the village.”
