It’s great for exploring farther afield

The UK is ideally situated for exploring other countries, with many European destinations just a few hours’ flight away. And if you hate flying, Paris is just a couple of hours away on the train.

Beautiful countryside

From the spectacular natural beauty of the Lake District and the Scottish Highlands, to the picture-postcard views of the Cornish coastline (now famous the world over, thanks to Poldark), it’s easy to be wowed in the the UK.

A thriving arts scene

Culture vultures are spoilt for choice in the UK, with worldclass theatre, groundbreaking dance, a brilliant music scene and fantastic galleries and museums (which, unlike in lots of countries, are largely free).

Ask anyone in the world what makes Brits unique, and they will most likely say our sense of humour. And with laughter shown to decrease stress hormones and even increase immunity to infection, that’s a very good thing.
