Women limber up for yoga pants protest in US

Women wearing yoga pants plan to parade through Barrington, Rhode Island, in protest at a man who said the outfits look ridiculous.

Their outrage is in response to a letter that Alan Sorrentino, a resident, wrote to the Barrington Times about his dislike of yoga pants. He said women over 20 shouldn’t wear them and that it was disturbing to see them worn in public. He said women should wear a “nice pair of tailored slacks” or jeans instead.

The women say his comments are sexist and plan to march in his street.
