EVA’S STYLE RULES

-

I never change when I go out at night.

I like the idea of layering up for events and layering down.

I love elasticated waists and fabrics for a sporty feel. Anything very tight looks old-fashioned

I love ribbon ties and raw finishes. I don’t like anything that looks overdone or too perfect.

Contrasts make clothes much more versatile and less easy to pigeon-hole.

I don’t like the idea of confining fabrics to a certain time of year, especially in a country like the UK, where there is so much different weather happening in any one day. Linen for winter can be beautiful, and I wouldn’t rule out tweed in summer. It depends what you wear it with.

In-between, “off ” colours are my favourites, because they’re more subtle, but I also like to introduce kitsch touches – lime green Lurex or some pink. Clothes shouldn’t look too serious.
