Presley children taken into care ‘over images on father’s computer’

Lisa Marie says in divorce papers she is ‘sick to her stomach’ after finding ‘disturbing’ content

LISA MARIE PRESLEY’S eight-year-old twin daughters have been taken into care after she claimed to have found “disturbing” photographs and videos on their father’s computer.

Ms Presley, the 49-year-old daughter of Elvis Presley, filed for divorce from the girls’ father, Michael Lockwood, in June, after 10 years of marriage.

The couple’s daughters, Finley and Harper, had been living with her but have now been placed in the custody of California’s child services.

Ms Presley claims in documents submitted to court that she found the images on the computer. “I was shocked and horrified and sick to my stomach,” she wrote.

She says police removed more than 80 devices but that results of their investigations are yet to be released.

Ms Presley is paying for two nannies to supervise visits between her husband and the two girls.

Mr Lockwood is contesting the agreement he and Ms Presley signed in 2007, which stipulates that neither party can claim the assets of the other in the case of their marriage collapsing, saying that his wife coerced him into signing the document. She claimed her husband had given their daughters extravagant gifts in the past six months, including an elaborate fish tank, sea- son passes to Universal Studios, laptops, mobile phones, clothes and toys.

She has filed court documents insisting that most of her fortune has gone.

The four times-married singer has struggled for many years to cope with her family’s fame and fortune.

When Presley died in 1977, he left his entire estate to his only child, to be claimed on her 25th birthday. Ms Presley inherited $100 million. She married Danny Keough, a fellow Scientologist, and the couple had two children, Benjamin, 23, and Riley, 27.

After divorcing Mr Keough, she married Michael Jackson, and for two years shared the life of the world’s biggest music star. “I loved him,” said Miss Keough of her stepfather, in an interview published yesterday. She told how she often made visits to Jackson’s Neverland ranch.

Ms Presley was then married to actor Nicolas Cage – a self-professed Elvis obsessive – for 108 days in 2002. In 2006, in Japan, she married Mr Lockwood, a guitarist with her band.

She claims he has helped himself to her money and that she is now forced to live at her adult daughter’s home.

Mr Lockwood strongly rejected Ms Presley’s claims. “I am disgusted that [she] described unproven allegations about me,” he said, in papers filed in the latest round of their divorce battle. “As I experienced during our more than 10-year marriage and as I believe this court will learn, [Presley] has great difficulty being honest.

“It is particularly distasteful that [she] has placed more value on trying to damage my reputation than on the fact that her false statements may be brought to our daughters’ attention.”
