Charity collapsed amid ‘lavish spending’

-

A domestic violence charity that received £1.4 million of taxpayers’ cash collapsed after allegations of lavish spending on first-class travel and iPads. Broken Rainbow, for homosexual victims of domestic abuse, had been surviving “hand to mouth” for years, the National Audit Office said. It found the charity had been “spending much more than its income”, with increasing amounts of money going on staff and other costs.
