Tories may face charges over Farage defeat
Kent Police has submitted a file to the Crown Prosecution Service as part of its investigation into the Conservative Party’s 2015 general election spending.
Fifteen police forces have now submitted files to the CPS, with decisions on pressing charges due in late May and early June. Kent Police has been investigating the party’s spending for South Thanet, where Tory Craig Mackinlay beat former Ukip leader Nigel Farage.
