Risk of HS2 delay subsides as review lifted

-

The risk of HS2 being delayed has eased as the threat of a judicial review over how contracts were awarded for the £55bn rail project lifted. Unsuccessful bidder Mace threatened action over how a £170m deal was awarded to rival firm CH2M. However, last month CH2M pulled out, citing the risk of delays and rising costs. Mace said that, following a parliamentary inquiry into the contracting process, it felt its worries had been vindicated.
