Downton film unlikely, says Bonneville

Hugh Bonneville has quashed rumours that Downton Abbey is to be made into a film – but said he would love it if they were true.

Since the series ended in 2015 there have been whispers that a big-screen adaptation is in the making.

Speaking at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show yesterday, the actor said: “There is no script that I have read, so I think it is hugely unlikely. But of course I would love to do it.”
