Taking the biscuit
SIR – Jack Hay (Letters, May 22) found that a universal law in hotels in the American South was that, in a room for two, three coffee-filter bags were supplied, two normal and one decaf.
In the hotel that I run, we often find that the complimentary tea and coffee bags have gone from the bedside tray even though the cups are unused. This is all part of the Great British Public’s mindset: “We’ve paid for it, so we will take it.” David Keenan
