Meat means landscape

SIR – Joe Shute (Saturday, May 20) recommends not eating meat to help reduce damage to the environment and improve biodiversity.

Yet grazing animals create the very habitat and diversity that people come to the country to see.

With no grazing there will be no footpaths to walk – only brambles and gorse. Charlie Watson Smyth
