Harris ‘innocent or idiot’, trial told
Rolf Harris is either “innocent” or “an idiot” after trying to find witnesses to clear his name, his lawyer has told the jury in his trial.
The former television star, 87, denies four charges of indecent assault against three women between 1971 and 1983.
Stephen Vullo QC, defending, told London’s Southwark Crown Court that Harris had wanted to find as many witnesses as possible throughout the investigation because he is “certain of his innocence”. is a member of the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) and we subscribe to its Editors’ Code of Practice.
