Case solved

SIR – To stop a four-wheeled suitcase running away when left unattended (Letters, May 23), take a strip of gaffer tape and bind it round two of the wheels. The suitcase can still be moved by tilting it onto the other two wheels.

The tape will also help you to identify the suitcase on a luggage carousel. Brian Gilbert
