The Queen visits the Drapers’ Hall in the City of London for a luncheon to mark the 70th anniversar­y of her being admitted to the freedom of the company in 1947, above. As a member, Her Majesty could apply for freedom of the City of London. The company’s original royal charter goes back to 1364 but its focus now is on philanthro­py.
