And they were egged on by a baying audience; a group of voters who had never heard of a spending pledge they wouldn’t applaud and never been faced by a hard choice they wanted to make. On policy, this was Jeremy Corbyn’s night but Caroline Lucas was the star, that rare politician who is eloquent while sounding normal.
