Man separates from teacher who raped him

A man who married his former sixth-grade teacher after she was jailed for raping him has filed for legal separation from her.

Court records in King County, Washington state, show Vili Fualaau, 33, asked for a legal separation from Mary Kay Letourneau, 55, on May 9.

Letourneau, an ex-seattle teacher, was convicted in 1997 of raping Mr Fualaau, then aged 12. She was

34 and a married mother of four.

The couple have two daughters.
