£700m bill Celebrities fail in bid to overturn demand

Gary Lineker is among a number of celebrities to have failed in a court bid to overturn a £700 million tax bill. He joined David Beckham and Ant and Dec in challenging the bill resulting from their investment in The Ingenious Film Partners 2 LLP scheme which claimed tax relief on “artificial losses”. Judge Charles Hellier ruled they were not “allowable deductions”.
