 The action centres on a dead cow and a bad case of kidney stones in this week’s episode of the colonial drama – neither of which would seem like too major an event in the modern day but when it’s 1617 and you have no anaesthetic (and only one cow), it’s a big deal indeed. The colony governor, Yeardley (Jason Flemyng), is the one suffering from the kidney stones, and while he’s laid up in agony, slimey Farlow (Burn Gorman) seizes power. CG
