Youseff Zaghba is born in Fez, north Africa to a Moroccan father and an Italian mother.

2015

Zaghba moves to Ilford in east London after his parents split up. He gets a job at a Pakistani restaurant, where he is allegedly radicalised.

March 15 2016

Zaghba is arrested by Italian police at Bologna airport on suspicion of attempting to travel to Syria and join Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

March 2016

Despite warnings passed on to the British security services from Italian police, Zaghba is able to return to Britain.

June 1 2017

Zaghba telephones his mother in Italy to say goodbye.

Zaghba and fellow terrorists Khuram Butt and Rachid Redouane murder seven people and injure almost 50 in an attack at London Bridge and Borough Market.
