‘I have to tell my daughter what he did’

The estranged wife of one of the London Bridge terrorists has spoken of her distress that she will have to tell their young daughter that her father was a mass murderer. Charisse O’leary condemned the actions of Rachid Redouane, who she married in 2012, and expressed her despair. Ms O’leary, 38, said: “I am deeply shocked, saddened and numbed by the actions of my ex-partner ... My thoughts now are with trying to bring up my daughter with the knowledge that someday I will have to try and explain to her why her father did what he did.”
