Murder at Jehovah’s Witnesses hall
Police are investigating whether the murder of a man in a Jehovah’s Witnesses meeting hall was a hate crime. The victim sustained stab wounds at Kingdom Hall in Honiton, east Devon. A man, also 55, was held.
Ch Supt Jim Colwell, police commander of Devon, said: “I wouldn’t wish to speculate at the moment as to why [the Jehovah’s Witnesses hall] was targeted at that time and in that way but that is one of the key lines of our inquiry.”
