Partners in notoriety

SIR – Saudi Arabia’s move to cut ties with Qatar over funding for terrorism (Letters, June 7) is rather like the falling-out between Burke and Hare.

Of course, after turning king’s evidence against his partner-in-crime, Hare became a reformed character and disappeared into obscurity. If only Saudi Arabia would do likewise. Otto Inglis
