WHAT TO DO IF….

-

Your normally quiet colleague goes off on a rant ... Stay silent. If you engage, they may never stop, and you’ll never have a tranquil tea break again.

Your best friend keeps posting a political hot potato on social media ... Unfollow. It means you can try to forget this side of their personality. Re‑engage in about two weeks.

Your other half wants to know how you’re voting – and they won’t like the answer ... Be honest. It will be far worse if they found out that you lied, and at the very least it might spark up a fiery bed‑time debate.

Your children have ignored your hard‑won wisdom and are voting the other way... Have patience. It is not unusual for wild youth to later change their voting patterns and turn into their parents. Just don’t tell them this.
