Besieged by deliveries

SIR – The houses across the road have names but no numbers (Letters, June 6). I obtained a number, after a struggle with the powers that be. But our postcode is the same as theirs; and, as online buying has grown, we have had many visits by large vans whose drivers are looking for houses across the road. We now have a barrier at the end of our drive, a notice part-way down and another on the front door. Dr Jeff Williams
