Tranquil for a day

SIR – Yesterday I was able to return to Radio 4’s Today programme.

With no political hectoring or whining, adversarial politicians, the broadcast was useful and informative. Following today’s result, I expect to have to return to contemplative breakfast silence with The Telegraph. Anne Jappie
