SIR – I sympathise with Jo Gilvary (Letters, June 6). To lose one’s MP to the Speaker’s chair once is bad enough. But to repeat the loss, when Buckingham’s constituents have been effectively deprived of an MP since 2009, is surely unacceptable. David Rammell
