Bodyboarder survives bump by great white
A bodyboarder survived a close encounter with a great white shark yesterday after being bumped by the predator off Western Australia.
Paul Goff was reportedly just 50 yards off Point Casuarina in Bunbury when he was knocked off his board.
Photographs released by Western Australia Police showed his bodyboard with bite marks on one side.
The shark’s size was not reported but Martin Lottering, who was in the look-out tower on the shore, said its dorsal fin “looked about half the size of the bodyboard”.
