Service Dinners

Plymouth Naval Retired Officers' Association Capt Michael Clapp, Commodore, Falklands Amphibious Task Force , was the guest of honour of the Plymouth Naval Retired Officers' Association at the combined Wardroom Falklands 35 Mess Dinner held last night at HMS Drake to commemorate the liberation of the Falkland Islands in 1982. Cdr Jeremy Churcher, RN, President, was in the chair. The Old Rotors The annual reunion dinner of The Old Rotors was held last night at The Park House Hotel, Shifnal. Wg Cdr Colin Cummings presided. The Station Commander, RAF Shawbury, Gp Capt Chuck Norris, Cdr Steve Doubleday, RN, and Flt Lt Mark Lazenby were the guests. Capt Steve Hayzen-smith, RA, was the 2017 recipient of the Peter Wilson Trophy for Air Safety.
