Two soldiers killed in tank exercise

Two soldiers were killed and two injured after an explosion during a live firing exercise in South Wales.

The soldiers, of the Royal Tank Regiment, were killed when a Challenger 2 battle tank was firing 120mm practice shells on the Castlemartin Ranges in Pembrokeshire. Army sources said the blast was “ammunition related” and live firing exercises were suspended.
