Bomb and gun attacks leave 19 dead in Somalia

At least 19 people were killed when Islamist militants launched a car bomb and gun attack on a busy hotel and restaurant in the Somali capital.

A car driven by a suicide bomber on Wednesday rammed into the Posh Hotel in Mogadishu before gunmen rushed into the Pizza House restaurant and took 20 people hostage. Police said that five gunmen were killed.
