Love for Jo

Pupils at Cockshut Hill School in Birmingham form a chain in memory of MP Jo Cox on a weekend of events to mark her life. Bernard Kenny, the pensioner who was stabbed as he tried to save her life in Birstall, West Yorks, is to receive the George Medal, while Pc Craig Nicholls and Pc Jonathan Wright are awarded the Queen’s Gallantry Medal.
