Energy giant SSE doubles executive pay

Energy giant SSE almost doubled the payout of its chief executive and finance head in the year ended March 31. Boss Alistair Phillips-davies will receive £2.9m, from £1.7m a year earlier, and finance chief Gregor Alexander will receive £2.2m, up from £1.3m. The rise mostly relates to SSE’S performance share and incentive plans.
