North Korean swims to South

A North Korean soldier has fled to the South by crossing the Han River, the second to have defected in a week.

The man, said to be in his twenties, swam across a narrow part of the fastmoving river while using foam attached to his shoulders to stay afloat.

Last week a North Korean soldier also walked over the Demilitarized Zone, the border keeping the North and South apart.
