Race of the Day Prince Of Wales’s Stakes (4.20) will showcase some pretty smart middle-distance horses. Highland Reel is top class at 12 furlongs but he looks vulnerable dropping back to 10. He has plenty of progressive horses to fend off, not least Ulysses, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, renowned for improving older types. Ulysses showed great battling qualities at Sandown on his return and looks capable of taking another step forward. Jack Hobbs will ensure this is a true test.

The word is that Happy Like A Fool (3.05), a comfortable winner of her only start in America, is yet another fast and forward filly.
