Students see themselves as university ‘customers’

Nearly half of students would describe themselves as “customers” of their university, new research suggests.

Some 47 per cent of undergraduates said they believed they are a way for their university to benefit financially, according to a Comres survey for Universities UK. But 91 per cent of those who thought university was good value also valued their relationship with the institution.
