His father’s favourite Impulsive but a hard worker

 He has long been the favourite of King Salman’s 13 children by three wives.

 The youngest son, he stayed in Saudi Arabia to study.

 He works long days and expects aides to do the same.

 Speaks English but not as fluently as other Saudi officials and in recent meetings with Donald Trump has relied on a translator.

 He is believed to have only one wife, a Saudi princess, and the couple have at least four young children.  Prince Mohammed has lavish tastes and can be impulsive. In 2015, he spotted a luxury yacht off the coast in France and reportedly within hours it was his, for £440 million.

 Like all Saudi royals he is Sunni Muslim, but not seen as deeply religious.

 He is the youngest defence minister in the world, with a £40 billion budget.
