Less rage, please
SIR – With the range of problems facing our country, perhaps what we need is a day of reconciliation, not a “Day of Rage” (report, June 21).

Wokingham, Berkshire
SIR – Not being an expert on Facebook, I would welcome details from anyone on whether there is a protest I can attend which is demonstrating in favour of democracy, living within our means, compassion and rights that come with responsibilities.
I will happily make my own way there. John Hutchinson
Addingham, West Yorkshire

What we all know is that anger and hatred, to which they give much air-time, can lead to violence. James Sharp
Tewin, Hertfordshire
SIR – If ever there was a justification for the water-cannons acquired in Boris Johnson’s time as mayor of London, it must be now. Rick Emerson
Bagshot, Surrey
