Two English county associatio­ns have hosted one day Swiss Teams events in England, writes Julian Pottage, Bridge Correspond­ent.

Each event had seven matches with the usual maximum of 20 victory points for each match and the winners are as follows:

Berkshire and Buckingham­shire held in

Windsor: 1st Alan Bailey, Jette Bailey, Eric Cummings and Ceri Pierce, 104 VPS; 2nd Paul Dolphin, Steve Lynch, Colin Johns and Robert Wilkinson, 103 VPS; 3rd= Pat Dowdeswell, Mike Ribbins, James Chapman and Jonny Richards, 91 VPS; and 3rd= Anil Bhandari, Graham Cunningham, Steve Mai and Lewis Pirnie, 91 VPS.

Dorset held in Wimborne: 1st Krzysztof Ginda, Mark Hooper, Rod Marks and Steve Tomlinson, 100 VPS; 2nd Sheena Lanham, Andy Ridgers, Glyn Meredith and Andy Miller, 99 VPS; and 3rd Helen Ackroyd and Tim Dunsby, James and Shirley Dutton, 93 VPS.
