Blinded by the light

SIR – David Miller (Letters, June 20) can blame headlights in daylight on misguided legislation from the EU that requires new vehicles to have daytime running lights. Apart from these being unnecessary, most cars are fitted with ridiculous arrays of LEDS that are so bright they dazzle oncoming drivers (although this is actually an offence). D J Thom
