Harry: off with The Crown

 Prince Harry has said The Crown, a Netflix series about the young Queen, should have stopped after series one because the lives of the younger royal family should not be dramatised.

The Prince, 32, said the drama was “great”, but told Newsweek: “I wish they’d stopped at the end of the first series. They absolutely must not move on to the younger generation.”

Prince Harry is the most senior member of the Royal family to admit to watching the show, in which Claire Foy plays the Queen.

Princess Eugenie has said: “I did watch a couple of episodes of The Crown. It is filmed beautifully.”

The first series told the story of the Queen learning of her father’s death and making her way as the monarch.

The second series is being filmed and there are plans to eventually bring the action up to the present day.
