Strippers cavorted with jail inmates as guards looked on

SOUTH AFRICAN prison officials suspended 13 guards yesterday after women in black body suits were photographed cavorting with inmates at a strip show in a Johannesburg jail.

Images circulated on social media show staff watching as three strippers perform seductive dances and undress and embrace an inmate at the Johannesburg Correctional Centre.

The jail houses some of the country’s most dangerous convicts.

Prison officials said that those involved had been served with suspension notices.

James Smalberger, the prisons commissioner, said: “The form of entertainment as depicted on social media was not approved.”
