Korean Olympic unity bid rejected

North Korea has rejected an offer from Seoul to share a team for the Winter Olympic Games next year.

The proposal was made by Do Jong-hwan, the South’s sports minister, and backed by the new president, Moon Jae-in.

Chang Un, North Korea’s International Olympic Committee member, has said there was insufficient time to come to an agreement over the team.
