Designer watches stolen in Gleneagles Hotel raid

Designer watches have been stolen at a jewellery store in the five-star Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland.

Police are hunting four men believed to have been in an Audi found abandoned nearby in Auchterarder, Perth and Kinross, yesterday morning.

No one was injured as a window display at the Mappin & Webb outlet was smashed and “a quantity of watches” stolen in what police described as a “shocking but thankfully rare incident”.
