Big screen shout-out for a support cast of 10,000

-

A job in accountancy may not be synonymous with Hollywood glamour but, in a major recruitment drive, the British film industry is looking for 10,000 people to fill such roles.

In the £20million campaign, chaired by Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, accountants are particularly welcome, along with hairdressers, nail technicians, carpenters, caterers, security guards and electricians.

The UK Film Skills Task Force suggests that few people working in these professions realise they can transfer their skills to a film set. It aims to “demystify” the process and explain how to get into the movie business.
