Annie Lennox ‘spotted’ by US radio station

- By Rebecca Hawkes

AWARD-WINNING Annie Lennox has shared a message from a radio station employee who asked the singer to submit her music.

“I came across your music online and really like what I heard!” wrote the researcher.

“I think I’m in with a chance?” quipped the 62-year-old on her social media page, after sharing a photo of the uninformed email, which suggests Lennox try an artist development firm that “can get you on to 150 radio stations worldwide” and ends by reminding the star to “be sure to send me that MP3!”

Lennox, who was part of the band Eurythmics and has had a stellar solo career, has won eight Brit awards, four Grammys, a Golden Globe and an Oscar. But while many fans gleefully seized upon the letter as an example of millennial ignorance, berating the employee for her apparent lack of knowledge, others have suggested that the message could be a scam.
